Welcome to the Financial Tips podcast!
In 2H2017, I decided to start publishing audio versions of my posts for those of you who would rather listen than read. The audio versions contain little bits of nuances that you won't find in the articles. They are also a way for me to build a library of thoughts for my children just in case I pass away before they become adults.
In 2023, I finally figured out how to use podcast software to interview people. As a result, you'll hear some great episodes where I talk to people like Mike Ketchmark, the trial attorney who won the landmark case against the National Association of Realtors regarding real estate collusion and price fixing.
I hope these Financial Tips podcasts make your commute or your exercise routine a little less painful. Financial Tips began in 2009 and is one of the leading personal finance sites in the world with over 1 million organic pageviews a month.

I'm trying to learn as much as possible from other parents as well.

Sam – Financial freedom sooner, rather than later
About the Author:
Sam began investing his own money ever since he opened an online brokerage account in 1995. Sam loved investing so much that he decided to make a career out of investing by spending the next 13 years after college working at two of the leading financial service firms in the world. During this time, Sam received his MBA from UC Berkeley with a focus on finance and real estate.
In 2012, Sam was able to retire at the age of 34 largely due to his investments that now generate roughly $250,000 a year in passive income. He spends time playing tennis, hanging out with family, consulting for leading fintech companies and writing online to help others achieve financial freedom.
